Welcome to Gokhale Memorial Girls' School
Gokhale Memorial Girls' School was founded on the 20 th of April 1920 by Smt. Sarala Ray. She worked out a scheme to prove that "Education meant development of thought and culture- that education brought in wider outlook of life."
Our Goal

Our goal is to form women alive to the needs of our world, with the knowledge which gives them power to act, and motivated by the love which gives them power to act, and motivated by the love which gives them purpose and wisdom in their action. The education of girls from every social background has to be undertaken so that there can be produced not only women of refined talents but also those great souled persons who are so desperately needed by our times. Our school is a centre of human formation where every child is welcomed and loved.


Both online classes ( 6-8) and offline classes (9-12) will be conducted from 10 am to 4 pm from 22nd April, Monday till further notice.


Considering the prevailing heat wave situation, classes will be held on offline and online modes respectively till further notice, effective from Monday, the 22nd April 2024.

KG-I work will be handed over to the parents as home assignment.
